In an ongoing effort to highlight careers in the trades and technology as a means towards economic stability, Bellingham Technical College, together with its partners, Whatcom Community College, Western Washington University, Northwest Indian College, Workforce Development Council, Northwest Washington Job Corps, Employment Security, Whatcom Tech Prep Consortium and Whatcom Tradeswomen, hosts an annual conference featuring women working in trade occupations.

Presentations feature women working successfully in these career areas:

  • Engineering/CAD
  • Welding
  • Survey & Mapping
  • Emergency Response
  • Law Enforcement
  • Automotive/Auto Collision Technology
  • Heavy-Equipment Operation

  • Outside demos, Hands on activities, Opportunities to win prizes.

    Information and resources for employment, funding, and training will be available from local organizations and agencies.

    Community sponsorship has allowed us to grant scholarships for schooling or for tools/equipment for the past two years. Conference attendance is required for eligibility. Applications are available at the conference.
